The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) is a fully-funded scholarship program jointly sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Congress, and the German Bundestag. It allows young American professionals to live, study, and intern in Germany for an academic year.
Who it’s for: Young professionals aged 18½–24 with a high school diploma and relevant work, internship, or volunteer experience.
What the scholarship program covers:
- Language training,
- a semester at a German university or college (Hochschule),
- and a 5-month career-field internship in Germany.
